This painting is one of the garden scenes that produced for my May 2009 show at Dr. Mindy Brown's offices in Kansas City, Missouri. My concept was to create scenes that invite the viewer to relax and take a mental break during the middle of a hectic day. If you ever visit my home, you will notice that I have a thing for cozy lap rugs thrown over the backs of chairs. They're just so civilized.
