This pastel is a scene from the Fort Worth botanical gardens, a place I fell in love with as a child and now have the opportunity to visit regularly, since I am a Texan once more. This was the first painting where I began to introduce that lovely cerulean blue that has since come to be one of the earmarks of my work. The title, of course, is a reference to our dear Monsieur Monet.
18 x 24" pastel on Canson paper; in a pewter frame with 4" cream double-matting and engraved title plate. $3,200.
