Huntly Castle
This is one of my family's castles in Scotland. Huntly is located in Northern Scotland (on the edge of the Highlands) between Aberdeen and Inverness -- just near all the famous distilleries such as Glenlivit and Glenfiddich. It's a very famous hunting and fishing area and people visit there from all over the world. It's in the heart of the Gordon district and is one of seventeen Gordon castles still standing. It's just a stone's throw from the Deveron River, which is featured in my painting "My Favorite Place." I was privileged to live in Huntly in 2002, and fell in love with the beauty of the landscape and the people.
