Tough Day at Cardiff

Tough Day at Cardiff
The English Roses during the half of a rugby game Cardiff, Wales. (Incidentally the Welsch got the better of the English side in that particular match.) The historic pitch where this game was played was razed in 1997 to make way for the new World Cup arena. The original painting now hangs in the collection of Nigel Wray, owner of the Saracens Rugby Club in London, England. Interestingly, this print found a great deal of appreciation among the rugby community internationally and now hangs in rugby pubs all over the world, including Cefn Cribwr in South Wales. (Yes, that's Cefn Cribwr. If you are ever in the area, pop in for a pint).
